Featured Customer: Cork’s Kettle Corn

Our Featured Customer for December is Cork’s Kettle Corn. We spoke with David Cork about his dynamic kettle corn company and how he uses custom packaging to fit his needs.

Tell us a little about your company:

Cork’s Kettle Corn has been around since 2004 and is a family run business in Statesboro, Georgia.  We started small with one kettle at our local farmers market and expanded to share the joy of popcorn in South Georgia. In 2014 we built a small commercial kitchen at our home and went through the licensing process. Within a few months we had repeat business and our customers began spreading the word about our kettle corn to friends and family outside the area. We realized the internet would be a great way to introduce the product nationwide

What makes your product unique?

We make it one small batch at a time with four simple ingredients.  Sometimes less in more!

How do you package your products and what ClearBags® products do you use?

We package our products one bag at a time by hand and use the gusseted Stand Up Zipper Pouches.

Where do you sell your product?

We still sell it each week at our local farmers market and we have a small network of stores that we sell to through distribution.  We also have our website that we market our products.

How long have you been working with ClearBags and how does ClearBags help you succeed?

We have been working with Clear Bags since February 2016 and it has brought our product to a whole new level with a professional look that I am proud to take to the marketplace.

What one piece of packaging advice would you give to other business owners?

Since this was my first experience with a custom printed bag, I recommend that you work closely with your ClearBags rep and your artist to get all the details worked out.
