Featured Customer: Tiny Treehouse Co.
Tell us a little about your company:
Tiny Treehouse Co. is a stationery brand that aims to create a little more happiness in the world through cheerful paper goods and more. Products are designed in Denton, Texas by Emily Holt, who spends a majority of her days bringing brands to life for other entrepreneurs through her one-lady graphic design studio. A core philosophy in the Tiny Treehouse is to make design and product choices that are socially responsible and eco-friendly. What does this mean? Greeting cards are printed on acid-free paper that is manufactured with 100% renewable green energy and is FSC-certified for all paper goods. Packaging is 100% recycled and/or compostable, including all “plastic” sleeves which are made from plant-based materials! Last but not least, Tiny Treehouse works with other local family-owned companies whenever possible, like paper providers and printers.
What makes your product unique?
There are a lot of stationery companies in the world, but I love how each one really takes on its own voice and graphic style. My products are unique because they truly are just little excerpts of my brain – cute illustrations and goofy (and sometimes sarcastic) messages.
How do you package your products and what ClearBags™ products do you use?
I use the Eco Clear Compostable bags for all my individual greeting cards, along with the kraft window boxes (with no plastic insert!) for my card sets – all from ClearBags. I also source compostable plant-based labels and biodegradable packing tape from another provider, along with saving any cardboard boxes from online shopping to reuse for larger orders.
Where do you sell your product?
I sell my products online on my website and on Etsy. In person, you can find me at a few handmade shops around the U.S.A. (everywhere from New Jersey to Austin, Texas).

I’m hoping to find new shops where my products are a fit this year!
How long have you been working with ClearBags™ and how does ClearBags™ help you succeed?
I’ve only been working for ClearBags for about 10 months, but finding compostable materials from the start was something that was really important to me. I’m so glad ClearBags makes that easy on me!
What one piece of packaging advice would you give to other business owners?
Think through your customer’s experience once they receive your product. This is an excellent chance to reinforce your brand’s style and voice!
