Tell us a little about your company:
I started StudioDuponchel, also known as THE colorful hair accessory shop, a little over 2 years ago. What I make is colorful, bright and fun. Certainly not everybody’s cup of tea! But those who, like me LOVE color, do like it a lot. Earlier this year I extended my company with themed party favors for birthday parties. Themes like unicorn, rainbow, watermelon, panda, ice cream and pineapple. They are so much fun and customers really like them. I also started with personalized hair snap clips, which are unique and so easy to use. If you like color, come have a peek! You will not be disappointed!
What makes your product unique?
My product is unique because my products are colorful and bright. Using unique color combinations makes me stand out in this sea of hair accessories. Packing my hair accessories in colorful and fun packaging really helps catching my customers eyes. Most of the time customers start with saying something about the packaging like, “oh this is cute and fun!”.
How do you package your products and what ClearBags™ products do you use?
I pack most of my hair clips in clear boxes. Using bright and patterned card stock to clip the hair accessories onto makes it even more fun. All stickers I use are also designed and made by me. For other hair accessories like headbands, I use clear protecting sleeves. These are ideal because they are light and therefore not too expensive to ship to my customers all over the world.
Where do you sell your product?
I sell my products online in my Etsy store. I also attend local vendor and pop-up markets. I really like to go to these, because customers want to see and test my products. Seeing the colors in person is better than what appears on screen.
How long have you been working with ClearBags™ and how does ClearBags™ help you succeed?
Since I started my company. Not only is it fancy packaging, it also really helps protecting the hair accessories during their journey all over the world. I have never had anything damaged on arrival. So, thanks for that ClearBags!
What one piece of packaging advice would you give to other business owners?
Think outside the box ☺
