In a recent podcast interview, ClearBags CEO and Visionary, NataLee Allen, sits down with Darn Good Distributors host, Kyler Nixon, to discuss how 26 core actions shift ClearBags’ core values from an operating system to a bonafide company culture.
At ClearBags, we value culture. Allen, has worked hard to create and protect the ClearBags culture. She said, “we want everyone who works at ClearBags to feel good being here and to feel like they can make a difference – a difference in their team and a difference in the lives of others.”
ClearBags is a unique place with pretty high values in a lot of respects, and that has a lot to do with the owners of the company. “Many people think of a CEO as a number-cruncher or someone who makes the big decisions – who to cut, how to do this or that,” explains Allen. “They think being a CEO is all about scaling and making money, but it’s really not. Being a CEO is about creating the best environment, finding the best people, and supporting them in the right seats, and those people create the best outcome. It takes service, kindness, emotional intelligence, and especially love.”
Allen believes that when you set your value system and culture, you will attract like minded people who like the culture. “I believe that you invest in people and care about people, and the people will then care about you, your company, and your customers,” she states. “That is the best way to be a leader. At least, that is what I have found. That’s where your focus should be – on the people who work with you, on your team. Invest in them, and they will invest in your company. Together you will find success and fulfillment.”
